We recently completed a shared rooftop oasis in the West Village in collaboration with Electrix Interior Design, an interior design firm known for their expertise in creating functional spaces that seamlessly blend architecture and design.
Electrix reached out to us with a vision to transform a once-forgotten rooftop into a sought-after amenity, creating a living room in the sky. The design goal was to maximize the rooftop’s potential, creating areas for dining, relaxing, and simply taking in the panoramic views of the West Village and the Manhattan skyline. Warm garapa wood envelops the deck, lending a rich honey tone that contrasts beautifully against the urban landscape. Custom planters add lush greenery along the edges, providing privacy and natural texture that grounds the space.
Working closely with Electrix, we focused on a restrained and refined plant palette, intentionally chosen to emphasize calmness and serenity. Together, we curated a tonal balance between the planters, furniture, and materials, creating a harmonious space that feels both sophisticated and effortless.
The collaboration allowed us to transform this rooftop into an elegant retreat that blends nature, design, and city living in perfect harmony. The result is a rooftop that feels like a living in the sky.
