The impression is one of trees sprouting straight up from the barren patio floor. Underneath, we discovered large support girders that offered substantial potential for housing planting systems. We fabricated and installed custom steel boxes to house the recessed tree roots, suspending them underneath the patio for the trees to emerge and flourish uninhibited in the open air above.
